Spherulitic crystallization
WebJan 28, 1999 · Chitosan crystallization, performed by simple drying of an oligomer or polymer solution on a glass or mica surface, was studied at room temperature. Polarizing microscopy revealed the formation of two-dimensional spherulites that were shown to have a negative birefringence.

WebMar 25, 2005 · Crystallization, Plant derived food, Polymers Abstract The influence of cooling rate and quench temperature on the formation of spherulitic morphology in heated mung bean starch is reported. Spherulites were obtained for a wide range of cooling rates (2.5−250 °C/min), provided the system was heated to 180 °C and then cooled below 65 °C. WebJul 5, 2024 · Spherulitic devitrification is a post-eruptive process affecting many rhyolitic lavas of the Taupo region. The spherulites consist of cryptocrystalline intergrowths of α -cristobalite and alkali feldspar (calcic anorthoclase), with minute granules of magnetite, hematite, and secondary (?)goethite.

WebOct 11, 2024 · Spherulitic growth rate is related to the crystallization temperature and is nonlinear in non-isothermal conditions of the polymeric blends. The POM shown in Figure 1 , the spherulitic growth rate of the blends presents regular growth with the addition of LMPP contents, affecting the size and shape of the spherulites.
