That "should" enable you to start the engine without the need to jump-start the Chassis battery. That doesn't answer the question of why your Chassis' battery is being drawn down though. WebSometimes, there may be something blocking the solenoid terminals. To identify and fix this issue, you need someone watching the ignition power with the key turned on. You can then tap the solenoid and see if the power returns. Or check your AUX boost switch if you have one and see if it is working.
